I'm Joe, and I spend an unreasonable amount of time testing AI tools. This site exists because when I went looking for honest overviews and reviews of AI assistants and tools, I mostly found SEO-optimized listicles written by people who'd clearly never used the products they were reviewing. So I decided to write the reviews I wanted to read.

Right now, the reviews on JoeBotAI are detailed feature overviews — what each tool offers, how it's priced, and how it compares. I'm building out hands-on reviews where I actually use each tool for real work, push its limits, and note where it excels and where it falls apart. The overviews are clearly marked so you know what's based on real testing vs. what's a feature summary. No AI-generated review content, no "best 10 tools" listicles with affiliate links to products I've never touched.

I cover the major AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity), AI writing tools, image generators, and productivity AI tools. Each review follows the same structure: honest overview, detailed features, real pricing, genuine pros and cons, specific use cases, and a clear verdict with a rating out of 10.

How I Rate Tools

My ratings are based on daily usability, not spec sheets. A tool with impressive benchmarks that's frustrating to use will score lower than a simpler tool that nails its core job. I evaluate:

Capability — How good is it at what it claims to do?
Usability — Is it pleasant to use daily, or does it fight you?
Value — Is the pricing fair for what you get?
Trustworthiness — Does it hallucinate less? Are its answers verifiable?
Ecosystem — Integrations, platform support, third-party tools.

Some links on this site are affiliate links — if you click through and buy something, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools I've actually tested and would recommend to a friend. Every page with affiliate links includes a clear disclosure.

If a tool doesn't have an affiliate program (like ChatGPT or Claude), I still review it honestly because those are the tools people actually want to know about. My reputation matters more than a commission check.
